Health and Wellbeing Board
Greenwich has a Health and Wellbeing Board, which will provide a sense of place, bringing together the key health and social care commissioners with local Healthwatch. They have a range of joint commissioning arrangements between Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Committee and the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Health and Wellbeing Board will play a key role in developing integrated approaches in the future.
The 2015-2018 Health and Wellbeing Strategy sets out high-level objectives and commitments for Royal Borough of Greenwich and commissioners of NHS services to improve health and wellbeing in the borough. The priorities in the strategy are based on challenges identified in the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment. Implementation of the strategy is co-ordinated by a senior officer group jointly chaired by a GP commissioner and the Royal Borough of Greenwich cabinet member for Health and Adult Services.
We will be holding a series of meetings, workshops and events with a wide range of partners from the statutory, private and third sectors and with community groups and interested local residents over the coming months to develop the priorities set out in the Strategy into clear action plans.
Residents are invited to give their views on the strategy by contacting Robin Clarke, Healthy Communities Programme Manager.
