As a member of the public, you have a right to be involved in discussions and decisions about your health and social care services.
From April 2013, Healthwatch took on the work of Local involvement Networks (LINks). Healthwatch is the new independent consumer champion created to gather and represent the views of the public. It will play a role at both national and local level to make sure that the views of the public and people who use services are heard.
There will be a Healthwatch organisation covering every local authority area in England, including Greenwich. They will take the experiences that people have of local care and use them to help shape local services. They will also provide information and support to local people.
By sharing your experiences and ideas with Healthwatch you can influence the way services are run, whether that's by writing a letter, sending an email, phoning, attending a public meeting or using a new online tool to rate local health services.
For more information about Healthwatch locally and nationally go to the Healthwatch website.
