Do I need to register?

Once you’ve found a dentist it is advisable that you register although you don’t have to. You can return to the same dentist for subsequent courses of treatment.

Do I need to pay?

Not everyone has to pay, people who are exempt include those who are under 18 or under 19 and in full-time education, pregnant or have had a baby in the 12 months before treatment starts or on income support. You’ll be asked to show your dentist written proof that you’re entitled to help with dental treatment costs.
